The Sales Secret eBook Rick Davis
The learning value of watching the main character, Adam, grow as a sales professional in this story is unbeatable. There is a moment when he mimics his mentor's previous great sales call and gets the feedback that he did a nice job but missed picking up the queues of what was relevant to his specific prospect. It was such a great lesson in how to craft your value proposition in the moment based on what you are learning and observing about your prospect during the call. The author is absolutely an advocate for customizing your sales approach for what is right for each prospect. And seeing it in action is priceless.A dynamite practice and habit that is highlighted throughout Adam's experience is the value of the post call review. He broke a nasty habit of reviewing the quality of the lead in this process and replaced it with reviewing his performance and what he will do to improve next time. That's when you see his capabilities take off. It's a tough habit to instill, but it makes all of the difference in the world.
I won't spoil the answer to what is The Sales Secret? It's a wonderful reveal and a perfectly simple thing to remember for each sales call so you make the best use of your selling day. And it's a delightful Abbot and Costello routine once you catch on to what the mentor has been saying.
Highly enjoyable read - the lessons will stick with any good sales professional forever.

The Sales Secret eBook Rick Davis Reviews
Good read! I subscribe to the authors daily e-mail sales tips and look forward to them each and every day. This book did not disappoint.
I manage sales and have seen Rick speak. No quick fixes here, only quality advice with a long term view of success.
Excellent book on the reality of the sales process. Cuts through the often used manipulative practices of sales and re-establishes the customer centered approach that leads to results without the sleazy residue.
Very good parable. Easy read and easy to understand the principles.
Interesting approach to teaching a sales approach by adding a human touch/story.
The Sales Secret is a great book read! I plan to re-read right away. Rick Davis hit a home run with this book. I highly recommend this book if you're new to sales like me or just need a great refresher course.
This is a delightful read, conveying powerful sales principles that go beyond and even contrary to traditional sales principles, so much more effectively in this fictional story than in a boring discursive style. I read it a few years ago in the tangible book form, and couldn't put it down. As time has gone on, I've often drawn from my memory of the kernels of wisdom that come through. It's relevant whether you sell products or ideas--and most of us are at least about the latter. It runs contrary to the stereotype of the naturally born salesperson, portraying a methodical disciplined approach to developing sales skills and an image of the salesperson as a true professional who genuinely seeks to serve their potential customers, keeping their best interests in mind.
It's as relevant to someone seeking to sell themselves, such as job seekers in any field, as to any other kind of sales person. I gave my copy to a new College Grad and have been wanting to go back to it as a resource, so this opportunity to obtain the e-book free is most welcome. How synchronous it was to come home and find this offer after recommending this book to someone just a few hours before!
